Pilot Painting LLC — Privacy Policy v2 (Replacement Text for elspp.com/privacy)
Prepared August 24, 2026. This replaces the current page in full. Everything below is the finished text, ready to paste.
What changed, and why
Visitor identification. We are adding a tag that matches an anonymous website visit to a household name and mailing address so we can follow up by direct mail. The current policy never says this happens. The new section “Visitor Identification and Postal Address Matching” describes it plainly, and states that the tag is non-essential and does not run unless someone accepts marketing cookies in the banner.
Text messages. The current policy has no SMS section at all, and it does say we share information with advertising and service providers with no carve-out for phone numbers. Carriers read the privacy policy when approving A2P 10DLC registrations and specifically look for a statement that mobile numbers and text opt-in consent are never shared or sold. The new “Text Messages (SMS)” section adds that promise. This one is worth doing regardless of the direct mail project.
Recorded calls. Calls through the answering service are recorded and transcribed, and the current policy does not disclose it. New section added.
Global Privacy Control. Twelve states now require honoring the GPC browser signal. New paragraph added under Do Not Sell or Share. Please confirm the Complianz GPC setting is switched on.
Changes to This Policy. The current page has no section describing how the policy gets revised. Added.
Direct mail opt-out. A real mechanism, backed by a permanent do-not-mail suppression list, plus a short section covering neighborhood postcards built from public county property records.
Retention limits. Records obtained through visitor identification are capped at 24 months. Suppression records are kept indefinitely, because that is the only way to honor a do-not-mail request.
Placeholder bug. The live Accessibility Statement currently reads “[COMPANY] is committed to providing a website.” That is an unreplaced placeholder sitting on the public site today. Corrected below to Pilot Painting LLC.
Contact methods. Added help@elspp.com as a direct email for privacy requests, alongside the contact form and phone.
Publishing order
The policy must go live before the visitor identification tag does, never after. Once the policy is published, the tag gets registered in Complianz under the Marketing category, blocked by default, and verified in the browser network tab so it does not fire before someone clicks Accept. Only then does it get switched on.

Visitor Identification and Postal Address Matching
If you consent to marketing technologies through our cookie banner, we may use a visitor identification service that attempts to match your visit to a household record so that we can follow up by postal mail.
Here is plainly what that means. When you accept marketing cookies, our provider receives your IP address and technical details about your device and browser. The provider compares that information against its own commercial database of United States consumer records. If it finds a match, it may return to us a name, a postal mailing address, and in some cases an email address or phone number associated with that record. We may then send you postal mail about our painting services.
Three things you should know about this:
- It does not happen unless you accept marketing cookies. If you decline, or if you never interact with the banner, the visitor identification tag does not run and no match is attempted.
- It is not always accurate. The match is made from commercial data, not from anything you told us. It can be wrong, and it may reflect a household rather than an individual.
- You can stop it at any time. See “Direct Mail and How to Stop It” below.
We do not use this service on any page where you are entering payment information, and we do not use it to collect or infer health, financial, biometric, or other sensitive information about you.

We may use the information we collect to:
- Respond to inquiries and provide estimates

Cookie & Tracking Policy
Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Our website may use cookies, pixels, tags, scripts, and similar technologies to:
- Remember your preferences
- Analyze website traffic and performance
- Improve the user experience
- Measure advertising effectiveness
- Deliver relevant advertisements
- Identify visitors for postal mail follow-up
Some cookies are necessary for the website to function properly. Other cookies, including analytics and advertising cookies, are optional.
Optional cookies and tracking technologies are not activated unless you provide consent through our cookie banner or settings tool.
Our visitor identification tag is an optional marketing technology. It is classified as non-essential, it is disabled by default, and it does not run unless and until you accept marketing cookies.
Your Cookie Choices
When you visit our website, you may be presented with a cookie banner that allows you to:
- Accept cookies and tracking technologies
- Decline non-essential cookies and tracking technologies
If you decline non-essential cookies, optional analytics, advertising technologies, and similar tracking tools will not be activated.
You may also change your choice at any time by using the “Cookie Preferences” or “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link available in the footer of this website.
Text Messages (SMS)
If you give us your mobile number, we may text you about your estimate, your project schedule, or our services.
We do not share or sell your mobile number, or your consent to receive text messages, to anyone for their own marketing purposes. We do not provide it to lead generators, data brokers, or affiliates. The only parties that ever receive it are the messaging providers who deliver our texts on our behalf, and they may use it only to deliver those messages.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for help. Opting out of text messages does not affect your ability to work with us by phone, email, or mail.
Mobile numbers we obtain from any source other than you directly are not used for text messaging.
Recorded Calls
Calls to and from our business may be recorded or transcribed so we can serve you accurately, train our team, and keep a correct record of what was discussed. This includes calls handled by our answering service and, in some cases, in-person conversations during an estimate.
If you would prefer not to be recorded, tell us at the start of the call or the visit and we will accommodate you.
Direct Mail and How to Stop It
If you receive postal mail from us and would prefer not to, you can stop it. Contact us through the Contact page on this website or call 540-426-3075, tell us the name and address printed on the mail piece, and we will add that address to our permanent do-not-mail list.
We keep that suppression list indefinitely, and we check every mailing against it before it goes out. Removing your address from our mailing list does not remove you as a customer and does not affect any work we are doing for you.
Neighborhood Mail from Public Property Records
Separately from the website, we sometimes mail postcards to homes near a project we are working on, letting neighbors know we are in the area.
Those mailings are built from public county property and address records, not from website activity, and they are usually addressed to the residence rather than to a person by name. If you would rather not receive them, use the same contact method described above and we will add your address to the same permanent do-not-mail list.
Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
Certain privacy laws may treat the use of advertising and analytics technologies as a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information.
You may request that we stop using your information for these purposes at any time.
To submit a request regarding the use or sharing of your information, please use the Contact page on this website or email help@elspp.com.
We will review and respond to requests as required by applicable law.
Global Privacy Control. If your browser or a browser extension sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat that signal as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, and our consent tool applies it automatically. You do not need to contact us separately.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Request access to the personal information we have about you
- Request that we correct inaccurate information
- Request that we delete your personal information
- Request that we stop sharing or using your information for certain purposes
- Request that we stop sending you postal mail
- Appeal a denied request
To submit a privacy-related request, including a request to access, correct, delete, or limit the use of your information, please use the Contact page on this website or email help@elspp.com.
We may need to verify your identity before responding.
Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to:
- Provide requested services
- Comply with legal obligations
- Resolve disputes
- Enforce our agreements
Records obtained through visitor identification are kept for no longer than 24 months unless you become a customer, after which normal customer record retention applies. Do-not-mail suppression records are kept indefinitely, because keeping them is the only way to honor your request.
Data Security
We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information.
However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children’s Privacy
This website is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If you believe a child has submitted personal information through this website, please contact us so we can remove it.

If we make a change that meaningfully expands how we collect or use your information, we will say so on this page rather than change it quietly. Continued use of the website after a change means you accept the updated policy.
